Joshua Fard
CEO, First Nation Financial Corp
Coming from a lineage of real estate development and construction, Joshua began his career at just fifteen years old. Growing up on construction sites alongside his father, a seasoned contractor and developer, he gained firsthand experience in the intricacies of real estate and business operations. Starting in payroll, Joshua quickly grasped the complexities of managing a company with many moving parts.
At seventeen, he transitioned into mortgage finance, working alongside his mother and rapidly excelling in loan processing and underwriting. By 2001, Joshua was recruited by Countrywide Financial as a Collateral Analyst, where he honed his expertise in loan structuring, risk assessment, and compliance.
In 2004, Joshua focused all his energy on founding First Nation Financial Corp, a mortgage lending institution based in Encino, CA. Under his leadership, the company grew rapidly, reaching over 60 employees and generating $6 million in gross sales within its first year. First Nation Financial became known for its expertise in residential and commercial mortgage lending, offering a full range of loan products, including conventional, government-backed, jumbo, and non-QM financing.
When the mortgage industry faced significant challenges in 2008, Joshua leveraged his deep real estate knowledge to transition into investment and asset rehabilitation, specializing in troubled and mismanaged properties. He developed strong relationships with local governments and real estate professionals, successfully stabilizing and revitalizing distressed properties while creating value-add opportunities for investors.
With over two decades in mortgage finance, real estate development, and investment, Joshua continues to lead First Nation Financial Corp with a commitment to excellence, innovation, and client-focused mortgage solutions. His firm remains at the forefront of the mortgage industry, utilizing cutting-edge technology, strategic lead generation, and a results-driven approach to help clients achieve their homeownership and investment goals.
Joshua attributes his success to his parents, mentorship, and education. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management. Based in Los Angeles with his family, he remains an active supporter of Pepperdine University Associates and is an avid Los Angeles Lakers and Kings fan.
